Glock / COA® Customer FAQs

The COA is only compatible with specific Glock pistols that feature the A-CUT interface. It does not fit all Glock models out of the box.

The COA is not compatible with Glock models that feature the Modular Optic System (MOS) or Optic Ready System (ORS) without the use of an adapter plate.

If your Glock does not have any optic cut, the slide will need to be professionally milled to accept the COA. You can contact one of our Authorized Vendors for this service.

Yes, the COA is compatible with both slimline and double stack models if the slide has the A-CUT interface.

The COA is available as a standalone optic. It was originally launched as an exclusive Glock bundle in 2025 and was released as a standalone optic in January 2026.

Yes. Aimpoint licenses the A-CUT specification to Authorized Vendors who can mill the interface into an existing Glock slide.

Yes. The COA’s low height when mounted to the A-CUT Interface is specifically designed to co-witness with Glock’s factory iron sight height.

If your holster is optic-cut compatible, there is a high likelihood it will accommodate the COA. The A-CUT interface mounts the optic deeper into the slide than traditional mounting systems. As a result, the optic has less protrusion above the slide than most red dot sights. However, optic-cut holsters are designed around general and specific optic profiles. Verifying fitment is recommended.

The DMC code contains the serial number.

How to register COA®

This process needs to be done on a device equipped with a camera.

You can also scan the DMC with a separate app of your choice to reveal the serial number.

The COA®

The Aimpoint ® COA® maintains the ruggedness and reliability of the ACRO® series in a smaller, more compact form. This concealed carry optic features a fully enclosed emitter providing superior protection against debris, dust and other environmental elements - making it an excellent choice for professional, personal protection, and sport shooters alike.

A wide field of view with a narrow frame provides great situational awareness. The user will perceive a larger aperture due to the construction without an inner tube. The robust iron sight, which is part of the mounting solution, enables co-witnessing.

The A-CUT®

Aimpoint® has developed a unique cut that enables the sight to be mounted deeper into the slide enabling the shooter to use the iron sight as well as the red dot ("co-witness"). This solution provides extreme stability.

The Aimpoint® A-CUT® interface provides a secure and dependable mounting solution for the Aimpoint® COA® red dot reflex optic ensuring repeatable accuracy.

The unique mounting design from Aimpoint® works perfectly with GLOCK® percussion pistols.

The direct cut eliminates the sheering effect impacting many pistol mounted optics. The integrated grooves of the optic to slide ensure ultimate stability.

The COA uses a standard CR2032 - 3 volt battery

Press any of the push-buttons to turn the sight ON.

Hold - for 1.5 seconds to turn the sight OFF.

The sight will always turn on at setting 8 at 12.

Unwanted Button Press Safety

This feature is to prevent accidental button presses from holsters, clothing, or body. When sight is on; the first button press activates the user interface. In active state the user can increase/decrease red dot intensity. The active state lasts for 4 seconds and resets for each button press.

  • Press + or - to activate the user interfase.
  • Press + to increase red dot intensity.
  • Press - to decrease red dot intensity.
  • After 4 seconds the user interface is locked.

Auto Step Down feature

To save battery time the Auto Step Down feature decrease the dot intensity one step every 2 hours if no buttons have been pressed. This functionaluty is active when the sight is switched on and the intensity level for the red dot is above 9.

GLOCK G19

The GLOCK 19 Gen5 pistol in 9 mm Luger is ideal for a more versatile role due to its reduced dimensions. The new frame design without finger grooves still allows to instantly customize its grip to accommodate any hand size by mounting the different Beavertail Backstraps.

The slide has the superior GLOCK hard-surface nDLC finish in non-reflective black. It comes with front serrations (FS) which provide an additional tactile surface choice when manipulating the slide giving the operator positive traction even with wet or sweaty hand.

The reversible magazine catch and ambidextrous slide stop lever make it ideal for left and right-handed shooters.

Every G19 Gen5 features the match-grade GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) delivering increased accuracy with polygonal rifling and an improved barrel crown.

GLOCK G45

The compact crossover pistol G45 in 9x19mm combines a compact slide with a full size frame and has all the benefits of a Gen5 model. Utilizing the design and engineering GLOCK developed for its military pistol (G19X), combined with Operator and worldwide Law Enforcement specifications.

The slide has the proven, superior GLOCK hard-surface nDLC finish in non-reflective black. It comes with front serrations (FS) which provide an additional tactile surface choice when manipulating the slide giving the operator positive traction even with wet or sweaty hand. The frame is also subdued black, with a flared magazine well for fast reloads in critical situations. Additional features include the smoother trigger pull, the enhanced texture for sure handling, a reversible magazine catch, ambidextrous slide stop lever, the Modular Beavertail Backstrap System (MBS) for individual ajustability and the incredibly accurate, reliable GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB).

GLOCK 47

The G47 with its no-compromise design, combines all the features demanded of the modern handgun of today – and of tomorrow! This standard size pistol combines a GLOCK 17 Gen5 slide with a G45 frame.

The slide has the proven, superior GLOCK nDLC finish. The frame with a flared magazine well completely encircles the front of the grip. Fast reloads in critical situations can be performed with speed and efficiency. Additionally, there are forward serrations precision-milled near the front, forward of the ejection port on both sides.

The G48 is of similar length and height as the compact size G19 but has the well-known GLOCK Slimline design with the reduced width of the pistol for perfect carrying comfort.

The frame features the GLOCK Mounting rail slim for mounting tactical accessories and incorporates elements of the Slimline series such the short trigger distance, a frame with a built-in beavertail, a reversible magazine catch and the incredibly accurate, match-grade GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) of the Gen5 series. The G48 Rail also features precision-milled front serrations.

The slim (01) magazine is built in reliable GLOCK style, it has an orange magazine follower for higher visibility and is specifically developed to ensure the 10rds magazine capacity.
