TIP TUESDAY: "properly mounting your sight" WITH JOHN ENLOE
In this technical guide from Aimpoint, our Technical Support Manager, John Enloe, shares a quick and effective tip for mounting your optic on a rail. To ensure a secure fit and prevent optic movement during shooting, follow these steps:
1. Determine the Optimal Placement: First, identify the ideal spot on your rail for mounting the optic.
2. Apply Forward Pressure: Place the optic on the rail and gently push it forward before engaging the throw lever mechanism or your chosen attachment system.
3. Ensure Proper Engagement: This forward pressure ensures that the recoil lug in the mount securely engages with the rail's surface.
4. Prevent Recoil Movement: By applying this slight forward pressure, you'll eliminate any potential optic movement caused by recoil when firing your gun.
For any additional questions or assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Secure your optic for optimal shooting performance.
