TIP TUESDAY: “Point of Aim, Point of Impact” with Rick Hogg
In this week's Aimpoint Tip Tuesday, where we'll delve into an important aspect of shooting: point of aim and point of impact.
Let's start by considering a practical exercise you can practice on your own. Begin by positioning yourself seven meters away from your target. Direct your aim towards the center of the dot.
It's important to note that the impact point will be slightly below the target. To compensate for this, make sure to superimpose the impact point for your red dot above the target. This adjustment will enable you to achieve accurate hits in the center of the target.
Understanding your specific point of aim and point of impact is crucial, particularly when utilizing a red dot on your carbine. This knowledge will enhance your shooting precision and effectiveness.
Remember, consistent and dedicated training is key. Prioritize your safety as you continue to improve your shooting skills. Stay tuned for more expert tips on aim and shooting techniques. We're here to support your journey towards becoming a better shooter.
